Fire at house next to Shupria Indian takeaway in Folkestone

Three fire engines were called to a blaze at a house in Folkestone.

Smoke was seen coming out of the property, next to the Shupria Indian takeaway on Dover Road, at around 7.50pm.

A fire spokesman said: "On arrival crews were faced with smoke issuing from the building, firefighters entered the building and extinguished the fire with a hose reel jet wearing breathing apparatus."

The fire was under control at around 8.10pm.
