Warning of delays as large Class 92 locomotive travels on Kent roads from Eurotunnel at Folkestone to Loughborough via M20, M26 and M25

Kent motorists were warned to expect delays today as a large railway locomotive made its way across the county.

The Class 92 electric engine - which is 21 metres (70ft) long and weighs 126 tonnes - started its journey at the Eurotunnel terminal in Folkestone this afternoon.

Limited to 20mph, it travelled up the M20 on the back of a low loader towards London.

After passing Ashford, the loco took M26 and M25 before joining the M1 to arrive at its destination in Loughborough near Leicester.
