Bullet For My Valentine 2015 UK tour to launch Venom will take in Leas Cliff Hall in Folkestone

One of the world’s biggest metal bands will head to Folkestone’s Leas Cliff Hall this autumn.

Bullet For My Valentine are playing their only Kent date on Sunday, October 18 following the release of their fifth studio album, Venom, released this summer.

The trio of guitarist and vocalist Matt Tuck, guitarist Michael Paget and drummer Michael Thomas say the track is “easily the most aggressive record” they’ve done.

It is said to be an “unrelenting fierce step forward” for the Welshmen, who have sold 10 million records worldwide.

Frontman Matt Tuck said: “It wasn’t easy revisiting some very dark places to come up with lyrical content for this one, but once I knew where it was heading and I was comfortable with letting certain things out - all hell broke loose.

“Lyrically it will no doubt touch a nerve with a lot of people that listen to it. I cannot express enough how proud I am of it, and can’t wait for everyone out there to hear it too.”

They will become a four-piece though for this tour announcing Jamie Mathias as their new bass player and backing vocalist.

The band head off to South America for their headline tour in the summer as well as playing alongside Slipknot and Lamb of God before returning to the UK.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow from 9am priced £23 and are available from the box office in person, by calling 0844 871 3015 or online at atgtickets.com/folkestone
