Pop star Pixie Lott performed exclusively for staff and students at Harvey Grammar School in Folkestone.

Delighted students at the Harvey Grammar School had the surprise of a lifetime when chart-topper Pixie Lott appeared on stage.

The boys had no idea the singer-songwriter would be joining them for their morning assembly and were left open-mouthed after the exclusive performance.

After wowing pupils on stage with a selection of tracks from her new self-titled album, she then held a Q&A session with some of the school’s aspiring musicians.

The blonde pop-sensation visited the school in Cheriton Road, Folkestone yesterday to raise awareness of charity Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY).

The 23-year old singer, who is originally from Kent, is a loyal and proactive supporter of the charity and became its patron almost four years ago.

Deputy Head-teacher Mr Andy Allon said: “We were absolutely delighted that Pixie Lott chose our school to perform some of her hits live on stage and also to create awareness for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY).

“This was an excellent way to end the summer term for the boys and not surprisingly it took most of the morning to calm the boys and some of the staff down!”
