Rope rescue after man falls down steep embankment at The Warren in Folkestone

Firefighters used ropes to rescue a man who had fallen down a steep embankment in the early hours of this morning.

Crews were called to The Warren in Folkestone at 3.46am after a man had fallen 25 meters down a steep embankment and was unable to rescue himself.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service's rope rescue unit attended the scene and assisted the man back to safety.

He was checked over by ambulance crews afterwards.

Police also attended.
