Sarah Jane Summerfield writes song to celebrate Folkestone and shares on YouTube

A singer-songwriter from Folkestone has written a song celebrating the town.

Sarah Jane Summerfield co-wrote the song highlighting all her favourite parts of the historic seaside town.

The track which is called 'Song to the Stone' by SJ Summerfield and The Frindalls also features a video which is now on video sharing website YouTube.

It has already got some 1,100 views from people watching the video.

Now the work has finished to complete the song and edit the video Sarah Jane is now hoping to spread the word and promote the town.

She said: "A lot of work has gone into it and I have to say, I am really proud of the finished result.

"I think it shows what a great place Folkestone is, with great views, individual shops and restaurants and of course great pubs!

"It also acknowledges the hugely important part Folkestone played in the First World War."

The video includes several of Folkestone's landmarks and best sights from the mermaid overlooking Sunny Sands to the harbour, Martello Towers and of course the infamous resident seagulls.
