Teenager arrested after reported robbery in Albion Mews Road, Folkestone

A suspected street robber has been arrested just five minutes down the road from the crime scene.

The robbery is said to have taken place in Albion Mews Road in Folkestone at 7pm yesterday.

The victim, a man in his 60s, was approached by a man who demanded he hand over a small amount of cash and then left the scene.

A 19-year-old from Folkestone was arrested an hour later at 8pm in Sandgate Road in the town centre on suspicion of robbery.

He is currently in police custody.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the incident.
