A woman had to be cut free after her car was left on its side in a crash.

Fire crews were called out at 7.25pm yesterday to the accident at Pilgrims Way, Monks Horton.

They stabilised the car and used hydraulic rescue equipment to release her via the car’s roof flap.

An ambulance was also called in to attend to the victim who is aged about 30.

Two fire engines, from the Folkestone and Hythe stations, were called out and firefighters were at the scene until 8.10pm.

Kent Police say that no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
