Folkestone could welcome back one of their most important players for the visit of Redhill on Saturday.

Frankie Chappell has missed Invicta’s last three games with a thigh injury, having come off during their 8-0 win over Crawley Down on December 21.

Earlier that month, the defender made his 200th consecutive appearance for the club, only to see his remarkable run abruptly halted.

But now Folkestone boss Neil Cugley is hopeful Chappell will be fit enough to resume his central defensive partnership with Liam Friend.

He said: "Frankie will maybe play on Saturday. We only had two subs last weekend so once we get him back, it’ll give us a bit of a lift.

"Michael Yianni’s had an operation but he’s started light training now. He’s two or three weeks away and we did miss him on Saturday (against Guernsey).

"We’re good at the moment. Once we get them (Chappell and Yianni) back, we’ll have a nice little squad."
