Folkestone are braced for an aerial bombardment when they clash with Kent rivals Faversham Town this weekend.

Aaron Lacy’s long throws are a potent weapon for the Lilywhites, who reached the Ryman League Division 1 South play-off final last season.

And Invicta boss Neil Cugley is anticipating a direct approach from the home side at Salters Lane.

He said: "I’m expecting a lot of long throws and they’ll get the ball into our box.

"They play a lot of football that way. It’s not the way I play but it makes it a harder game.

"We have to roll our sleeves up and make sure we keep them out.”

Cugley added: "I know their manager (Ray Turner) well and I know (assistant) Clive Walker really well.

"They’re a good team. It helps to have one person with the knowledge and one person with the enthusiasm."

Folkestone suffered FA Trophy heartbreak at Hungerford on Tuesday night.

Michael Yianni's goal levelled the second qualifying round replay at 1-1 and forced extra-time, but there was still nothing to separate the sides after 210 minutes of action.

That meant penalties and Invicta lost the shootout 5-4.
