Boss Andy Drury has hinted he might rotate Folkestone’s squad as they aim to keep building on their good form since the turn of the year.

Isthmian Premier Invicta, who previously had lost six straight matches, have now taken seven points from their three games in 2024 after a 2-0 victory at play-off occupants Enfield on Saturday thanks to first-half goals from midfielder Scott Heard and striker Tom Derry.

They had been scheduled to host Cray Wanderers - also a team just above the relegation zone - tonight (7.45pm) but the match was postponed due to a frozen pitch. They visit third-bottom Haringey this weekend.

“We have got a busy month,” said Drury, whose 16th-placed team still have five fixtures to play before January finishes.

“It’s going to be one of those times where we might rest one or two. Not many players will play every game (for Folkestone before the end of January).

“When you play on astro-turf and then on a soft surface at home, it can be difficult to adapt. But people want to keep playing games of football when they’re winning!”

Drury still hopes to add another new face or two to his squad this week while some are nursing injuries.

Invicta’s 40-year-old manager added: “I still want to add one or two.

“If we can do that, I think we will be really happy with what we have got.”

Folkestone have already taken on Haringey twice this term at Cheriton Road.

The hosts were beaten 5-3 on penalties in the FA Trophy in October after a 2-2 draw before they played out a 1-1 league draw a month later.
