Lydd’s Bradley Ray excited to hit the track again as he returns from shoulder surgery for Yamaha Motoxracing in Superbike World Championship at Magny Cours

Bradley Ray is itching to get back on the saddle in the Superbike World Championship this weekend.

The Yamaha Motoxracing rider missed the previous round in the Czech Republic in July to undergo shoulder surgery but after recuperating during the series’ summer break the Lydd racer is ready for action as the championship moves to Magny Cours in France.

“I’m really excited to be back racing with my team again,” Ray said. “I really missed that feeling of heading out on track and working with my guys.

“I feel good after the surgery and after a few long weeks of training while waiting to ride again.

“Magny Cours is another new track for me, but after the result we scored at Imola, I’m not worried about having to learn new layouts anymore. I’m counting the hours until I can get back on track with my R1.”

Team principal Sandro Carusi added: "We head to France with Bradley with the right motivation to continue the work begun during the first half of the season, particularly after the excellent race he ran at Imola.

“I hope our rider’s physical problem is now fixed and that he can score another positive result.”

Ray arrives in France 18th in the standings on 19 points with four rounds of the championship remaining.
