Joyce Dodd of Gravesend becomes great-great-grandmother for second time

She was pretty great before, but Joyce Dodd is even more so after becoming a great-great-grandmother for the second time.

Mrs Dodd, 97, of Barr Road, Gravesend, has met the latest addition to her family after the birth of baby Caoimhe Lawson-Peck and it was an opportunity for five generations of mums and daughters to have their photo taken together for the first time.

Mrs Dodd’s daughter, Angela Bonell, 75, said the ever-growing family remained close but it was a tough job getting them all together.

“We’ve always been a close family but as they’ve got older they’ve spread about,” she said. “Mum’s had five children and they’ve had children. I can’t think how many there are!”

But Angela confirmed there were 31 of them, with Joyce and husband Frank, 96, able to boast five children, 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
