Crash closes slip road on A2 at Gravesend

A man has been taken to hospital after a car and lorry crashed on the A2 this morning.

Police were called at 8.15am and closed the slip road which leads to the coastbound carriageway at the Gravesend East junction.

South East Coast Ambulance Service treated a man at the scene who was complaining of neck pain, before he was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital. It is not thought his injuries are serious.

The road was closed while the emergency services dealt with the incident.

Traffic was moving slowly and the road was partially blocked.

The slip road, which runs past Nell’s Cafe, Marling Way, is used by lorries and HGVs as an unofficial truck park.
