In 2007, he was jailed for life after he robbed a BP Garage at the Tollgate Service Station on the A2.

According to Sussex Police, he had links to both Gravesend and Birchington.

Meanwhile, Mark Chatfield was sentenced to four years in prison in August last year for burglary after he broke into a home in Guildford, Surrey.

The duo's disappearance sparked a police appeal for their whereabouts.

Detective Inspector Dave Grover said: "We need the public's help to find both men so they can be returned to custody to serve the remainder of their sentences.

"Neither man was from Sussex but we do not know if they have left the county to go back to where they are from or if they are still here.

"If you see them do not approach them but instead call 999."
