There were long delays on the A2 this evening following a collision on the A2 near Ebbsfleet.

Two lanes of the coastbound carriageway were shut, close to the A2260 Ebbsfleet Valley exit and witnesses report seeing three ambulances at the scene.

Traffic was queuing back to Bexleyheath as a result of the crash, which happened at around 5.20pm.

There were also delays on surrounding routes including the A226 London Road heading between Dartford and Swanscombe, the A206 Crossways Boulevard between Dartford and Greenhithe and the A296 Watling Street between Dartford and the A2 coast bound.

The road is now re-opened by there remain long delays in the area
