NB Pharmacy in Old Road West, Gravesend sold to new owners

A family-run pharmacy has been sold to new owners.

Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co has announced the sale of NB Pharmacy in Old Road West, Gravesend.

The standard hours community pharmacy regularly sells 6,393 supplies every month.

Its previous owner of 39 years, Nirmal Bajaria, sold the business before taking a "well-deserved retirement".

The new managers are first-time buyers Venkat and Preeti Adama from Essex.

Nirmal said: “It was a difficult decision to put the business up for sale. I was very pleased with the high number of viewers and feel delighted that a young family bought my pharmacy.”

Mark Page, director-medical at Christie & Co was responsible for the sale.

He added: “The pharmacy received multiple bids due to its prominent trading position, proximity to the local surgeries and the main M2 motorway, as well as the potential of the business.

"I’m delighted for Venkat and Preeti, who I feel are a great fit for the area and will introduce some fresh ideas to the pharmacy. I also wish Nirmal a very happy, long, and well-deserved retirement.”

NB Pharmacy was sold for an undisclosed price.
