Tilbury ferry out of action following engine fault

A ferry service between Kent and Essex is out of action following an engine fault.

Engineers are working to get the Tilbury Ferry — which runs between Gravesend and Tilbury — up and running after the cooling pump on the starboard engine failed.

Operator Jet Stream hopes the service will resume before the end of the day.
