Gravesham Community Leisure and NRG Gym dominate the field at the 2017 Gravesend Pancake Race

Staff from community fitness centres put the rest of the field to shame in this year's charity pancake race in Gravesend.

Ben Watkins from Gravesham Community Leisure was joined by NRG Gym's Ciprian Prodan and Manpreet Boyal in the final after three hotly contested heats, with the former claiming victory despite a late scare when he dropped his pancake in the final stretch.

The annual event in New Road is organised by Gravesham council and sees local businesses compete to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.
