Health Safety Executive continuing to investigate after workmen injured by cutting through mains power cable in Northfleet

An investigation is ongoing after two workmen were injured when they cut through an underground mains power cable in Northfleet last month.

The men, aged 24 and 29, were working on the road outside a Gravesend Church Housing Association development in Burch Road on March 16.

The incident left them in just their underwear after their clothes were burnt off and both were taken to King’s College Hospital in London, one by air and one by road.
