Police were called to the Prom in Gravesend last night to reports of an assault.
A young man was taken to hospital after officers were called to The Terrace at 9.45pm.
The alleged victim, in his 20s, was taken to hospital as a precaution with thorax injuries.
He has since been released from King's College Hospital in London.
A police spokesman said inquiries into the incident are ongoing.
