Man taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after car crash near Old Perry Street in Northfleet

A man suffered life-threatening injuries after a car crash in the early hours of this morning.

The incident took place at 5.17am near the junction of Old Perry Street in Northfleet when a silver BMW saloon collided with the boundary wall of a house and a set of traffic lights.

Parts of Earl Road, Hall Road and Coldharbour Road were closed for six hours so that police could investigate the cause of the collision, perform cleaning work and recover the vehicle.

The 26-year-old driver was treated at the scene before being taken to Kings College Hospital in London.

Officers from the Kent Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit are keen to speak with anyone with any information about the vehicle in the moments leading up to the collision.
