Man taken to a London hospital after a fall in Haslington Residential Home, Bean Road, Greenhithe

A elderly man has been taken to a London hospital after he suffered a fall in a care home in Greenhithe.

Firefighters, police and paramedics were called to Haslington Residential Home in Bean Road at 7.20am.

The air ambulance was also called but the man was taken to hospital by road.

It is understood the incident involves a lift.

The incident has been referred to the Care Quality Commission.

Haslington staff refused to comment.
