Spar in Rochester Road, Gravesend, significantly damaged after reports a car repeatedly drove into the outside wall

A shop has been significantly damaged after reports a car repeatedly drove into the outside wall.

Officers are investigating an incident at the Spar, next to the Shell garage in Rochester Road, Gravesend.

Kent Police was called at 11.30pm on Sunday, July 3, to reports that a black 4x4 had driven into the wall of the Spar shop three or four times, causing significant structural damage.

The damage to the wall was directly next to the adjoining cash machine, though this was not damaged.

Nothing has been reported stolen.

The shop is closed today, and the petrol station forecourt has been cordoned off.

Spar has been contacted for a comment.
