Teenagers remanded in custody by Medway magistrates after stabbing incident in Gravesend

Three teenagers have appeared in court after being charged in connection with an assault which left a man with serious stab wounds.

Police confirmed they made a third arrest at the weekend and later charged the suspect following the incident in Christian Fields Avenue, Gravesend, on Saturday, January 14.

Daniel Dos Santos, 18, from in Hackney, London, was arrested on Sunday, January 22, and charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and with conspiring to steal from another.

Santos appeared before magistrates in Medway yesterday with Christopher Bowman, 18, from Bow, London, and Silas Kelly, 18, of Jubilee Crescent, Gravesend, who have also been charged in connection with the incident.

Bowman has been charged with the same offences as Dos Santos, while Kelly has been charged with the single count of conspiring to steal from another.

All three were remanded in custody and their cases were sent to Woolwich Crown Court to be dealt with.

The trio are next due to appear there on Monday, February 20.

Four other people arrested in connection with the incident have been bailed pending further inquiries.

The injured man has since been released from hospital.
