Sebias Cleaning Services, of Northfleet, nominated for a Gravesham Business Award

When family-run Sebias Cleaning Services based in Northfleet started up five years ago, it was a case of pounding the pavements on numerous leaflet drops.

Now the owners, known simply as Vicky and Katy, have a team of managers and supervisors throughout Kent and London ready to deal with anything that may arise.

Commercial cleaning is highly competitive, but now with an extensive portfolio of low and high priced contracts and hourly paid businesses, Sebias Cleaning Services caters for a variety of cleaning needs including offices, warehouses, communal areas and local councils.

Vicky says that having a strong background in care management led her education and career down that route.

Moving into business was an accident, something she now feels glad she fell into as running a family alongside the business has never been easier.

She said: “I have brought a lot to the company and most of this has been self-taught. I am very proud of Sebias Cleaning Services and hope it continues to flourish for years to come.”

Katy on the other hand said: “When it comes to getting the job done we know exactly what needs to be achieved. I am passionate about what we do and I feel this shines through Sebias Cleaning Services.”

Both said they would like to be more involved with the community and local schools and help set up a programme to encourage children to keep a clean and safe environment.

Katy said: “There is too much littering, dog fouling and fly-tipping nowadays and the culprits are adults. I would like to educate children the same way as my child was educated and hope something sticks long enough for them to think twice before throwing rubbish on the streets.”
