Adam Cunnington can’t stop scoring for Ebbsfleet and he's backed strike partner Danny Kedwell to get among the goals before long.

Cunnington netted twice in Tuesday’s 3-2 win over Staines, taking his tally to six goals in five starts for his new club.

The 27-year-old, who joined Fleet from Cambridge United last month, is already showing his class in the red shirt.

And that’s been helped by his working relationship with former Gillingham centre-forward Kedwell, who has scored twice in his first seven Fleet appearances.

Cunnington said: "It’s great playing up front with Keds. He works hard, I feel as though I work hard and luckily enough, the goals are coming for me.

"I think (your strike partnership) is massive. If you don’t get along and share the workload or you don’t talk, it becomes tough.

"We’re quite similar in our build and stuff like that. We work hard and try to share that workload.

"The goals are going to come. We’ll go through patches – Keds will go on a run and get a few. Whatever happens, as long as we’re up there at the end of the season, that’s the main objective.

"I’m enjoying playing regularly and know that if I play regularly, I can get the goals. I’ve done it before and that’s what I’ll look to do in the future."
