National League South Ebbsfleet United won't charge season ticket holders to watch the next campaign

Ebbsfleet United are rewarding their loyal fans by offering to roll over season tickets from 2020/21 into the next campaign at no extra cost.

Fleet’s fans who had purchased tickets this season were left watching matches online because of the football fan lockout, a season that was eventually cut short.

The 2021/22 season starts on Saturday, August 14 and Fleet have ensured their supporters won’t be out of pocket for matches they’ve missed.

Fleet acknowledged money might be tight for their fans following lockdown and said: “Support is a two-way thing and like any football club, we both need and value that support, particularly with all of the uncertainty surrounding the game in recent months.”

The Fleet Supporters’ Trust welcomed the news, describing the move as a “great gesture.”

Ebbsfleet will be celebrating their 75th anniversary next season and the club say they are determined to make it a landmark year on and off the pitch.

A Fleet statement said: “We [will] hopefully welcome supporters back into Stonebridge Road after an enforced absence of almost 18 months. This follows 12 months of carefully planned growth and ongoing operational improvement at the club, with huge efforts in raising standards off and on the pitch by our hard-working staff and volunteers.”
