They might have fallen behind early at St Albans when the home side hit the crossbar but Jordan Parkes then headed over from close range before Danny Kedwell sent an effort narrowly wide.

Half-time arrived with the scoresheet still blank but that changed after the break.

Parkes was fouled in the St Albans box and Danny Kedwell converted the penalty for his second goal of the season.

A second goal in the closing stages wrapped up the points, centre-half Kenny Clark claiming the final touch after a scramble in the St Albans area.
