Ten-man Welling suffered late heartache at high-flying Macclesfield Town in the Vanarama Conference, losing 3-2.

Dominic Vose put Welling in front after 20 minutes, only for the home side to level things up 10 minutes later from the spot, Waide Fairhurst converting.

And it got worse for the Wings when Anthony Jeffrey was sent off in the final minute of the half for a second bookable offence.

However, Welling got their noses back in front when Jason Williams netted on 68 minutes to give them hope of a fantastic result.

But, two goals in eight minutes from Matthew Barnes-Homer turned the game on its head to put third-placed Macclesfield back in front before the home side saw out the final seven minutes to seal the win.
