Air ambulance and coastguard called to Reculver Beach in Herne Bay

An air ambulance was called after a woman was injured on a beach.

Yesterday, at 10.30am, the coastguard, paramedics and the air ambulance were called to Reculver Beach in Herne Bay.

The helicopter was seen landing at about 11am by residents nearby.

A spokesperson for Herne Bay Coastguard Rescue said the team “were sent to help an injured woman at Reculver, Herne Bay.”

The team “recovered the casualty off the beach and into the care of South East Coast Ambulance Service,” the spokesman said.

Secamb and the air ambulance have been contacted for comment.
