Firefighters have freed a man trapped under a vehicle after he suffered a head injury while working on it.

It happened in Steed Close. Herne Bay, on Saturday afternoon and when they arrived at the scene they found the man stuck beneath a Nissan Navara 4x4.

The vehicle was not raised up and had not collapsed but the victim suffered a cut to his head and was unable to get out from underneath it.

After he was released, he was tended to by paramedics and then taken to hospital for treatment to a head wound.
