Four men arrested in Herne Bay town centre after High Street brawl which left a man with neck and back injuries

A man was taken to hospital this morning with neck injuries after a High Street brawl which left four men arrested.

Police were called to Herne Bay town centre at 12.20am after reports a fight had broken out.

Four men were arrested and remain in police custody while another man was taken to William Harvey Hospital with neck and back injuries.

Spokesman Andy Saunders says three of the men are from Herne Bay aged 33, 24 and 35 while a 23-year-old of no fixed address was also held.

The injuries have not been described as serious.

Witnesses say the road was blocked off at the bottom of Beltinge Hill for several hours and an ambulance was also present.
