Fred Ketteringham locked up after carrying dangerous chemical outside nightspot

A clubber has been locked up after he was found to be carrying a bottle of ammonia outside a Herne Bay nightspot.

Police were alerted by bouncers after Fred Ketteringham, 20, was spotted with the dangerous chemical near The Front in Central Parade on January 29.

Ketteringham, from Kemsley near Sittingbourne, was stopped from entering the venue and arrested by officers.

He pleaded guilty to possession of a noxious liquid at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court last week.

Magistrates sent him to a young offenders’ institute for 16 weeks.
