Teenager taken to hospital after motorbike crash in Herne Bay High Street

A teenager has been taken to after his motorbike collided with a car in the High Street this morning.

Police and paramedics were called at 9.45am after the accident near the near the junction with Richmond Street.

Kent ambulance spokesman Rich Airey said: “We were called to the incident involving a motorbike and a car. We sent an ambulance car and ambulance to the scene.

“A 16-year-old boy was assessed at the scene and was fully conscious. He had suffered minor injuries but was still fully mobile.”

Onlookers saw the paramedics and police arriving to treat the boy. Jemma Crosby witnessed the incident, and said that he had suffered a broken arm.

He was taken to the QEQM hospital in Margate for further treatment.
