An overturned car and trailer crashed and blocked the M20 this afternoon.

Delays were reported on the London-bound carriageway with traffic tailing back towards Folkestone.

The vehicle and trailer flipped and was left lying in the middle lane just after junction 11 near Hythe at around 2pm.

Two lanes were closed just after the entry sliproad and both the car and its trailer were on their sides.

Part of the entry sliproad was also coned off.

Kent Highways said at 3pm the road had reopened and delays were clearing.
