Crash between horse box and motorbike causes Ashford Road closure

A road has been closed for hours following a "serious" crash between a motorbike and a horsebox on the A20.

It happened outside the Airport Cafe just before 12.30pm along the Ashford Road between A261 Hythe Road and Swan Lane.

Kent County Council Highways reported that traffic is slow moving.

A police spokesman confirmed officers are on the scene along with the ambulance service.

Kent Police Shepway called the incident "serious" on Twitter.

An ambulance spokesman said paramedics are still on the scene.

It is not yet known if anyone is injured.
