Hythe boss Scott Porter faces an anxious wait to see how much money he can offer his players to stay at Reachfields next season.

The Town board will present the manager with their vital statistics at a meeting on Tuesday, just four days before Porter and the squad go on holiday to Ibiza.

But rival clubs are already circling as the post-season transfer rumour mill whirs into action.

Porter said: "It goes on all the time. I know because I do it myself. But I’ve told the players to be patient and wait for my offer.

"Hopefully things are more stable now. I won’t know until next Tuesday. I’ve got a meeting and I’ll hopefully get what I want, money-wise. The players know I’ve got that meeting and I’ve told them to be patient and wait for the offer from me.

"We’ve got our end-of-season do on Saturday and then we go away the following Saturday. Some clubs do (their transfer dealings) quicker than others and some are in the play-offs.

"At the moment, I don’t know what budget I’ve got."
