Historic refurbished opticians reopens

The Mayor of Faversham cut the ribbon on a newly refurbished opticians in the town centre.

On Friday, Cllr Nigel Kay reopened John High which closed a few weeks ago for a major refurbishment.

The Market Street store has been at the heart of the community since 1964 with their longest member of staff Maureen Chapman working there for the last 37 years.

The branch is now offering a 20% discount on all frames, including sunglasses.

John High branch manager Sue Hirst said: “John High has had a constant presence in Faversham for over 50 years and our patients will benefit from our new and improved store.

“We strive to deliver the highest standard of clinical eye care, quality customer service and fashionable eyewear at affordable prices and the new branch will continue to deliver this to the Faversham community.”
