Faithdean Group profits and revenues up

Faithdean Group, which runs construction contractors in Kent, built up strong growth in profits and revenues as it expanded into the large development sector.

The firm, based in Lordswood, boosted turnover by 10% to £54.9m and recorded a 14% increase in pre-tax profits to £2.4m in the year to the end of March, its latest accounts show.

Founded in 1977 as a refurbishment company, today it operates three firms focusing on residential interiors, new builds and large developments – mostly in London.

In its first full year, its new Oakdean Construction business, which focuses on new builds and large developments, recorded turnover of £8m and a net profit of £64,000.

It has £30m of works secured, to be completed over the next 18 months.

Residential refurbishment business Broadland Construction, which joined Faithdean in 1997, suffered a 54% decrease in turnover to £5.5.

This happened after “the effects of a single large commercial project undertaken in the previous year worked their way out of the system”.

However, it was able to increase pre-tax profit by 4% to £639,000.

Faithdean, employing 150 people, owns refrigeration and air-conditioning firm Rainham Group.
