National living wage and trade union reform to be discussed in employment law seminar

Companies struggling to get their head around the impact of a new national living wage can find out more at an employment law seminar.

Various changes to the way businesses must handle staff will be discussed, including the significance of major trade union reform.

The workshop is being held at Bridgewood Manor Hotel in Chatham and will be run by law firm Furley Page, based in Chatham, Canterbury and Whitstable.

Partner and head of employment Andrew Masters, who will lead the discussions, said: “These events are vital to help employers and HR professionals keep up to date with the fast-changing complexities of employment law.

“We’ll be offering a comprehensive review of current and future developments so that employers are fully prepared for the changes the government is introducing.

“As well as practical guidance, there will be a question and answer session so there’s plenty of opportunity for delegates to raise issues of concern.”

The event is run in partnership with Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce and takes place on Thursday, October 22. Details at www.furleypage.co.uk.
