Ceramics manufacturer Cermatco falls into administration putting 21 jobs at risk at base in Aylesham, near Canterbury

More than 20 jobs have been put at risk after a ceramics manufacturer plunged into administration.

Cermatco, which develops and makes raw materials for dentistry equipment, has suffered cashflow problems despite historically being profitable.

The firm, which employs 21 people, will continue to trade as a going concern from its base in Aylesham, near Canterbury, while administrators from KPMG seek a buyer.

Joint administrator William Wright said: “Cermatco is an advanced manufacturer working at the forefront of the ceramics industry.

“Given its proximity to Europe, skilled workforce and quality product offering, we are confident that there will be interest from the market and a buyer can be found to take the business forward.”
