A PARTNER at one of the county's leading chartered accountancy firms has been appointed as the new treasurer of the Kent branch of the Institute of Directors.

Tim Levey, from Reeves and Neylan, brings with him more than 20 years’ business experience. He has also worked for accountancy giants KPMG and undertook a financial director role with a group of care homes.

The 46-year-old has also had a book published on profit improvement.

Mr Levey was attracted to the treasurer position after having been to several IoD Kent networking events.

He said: "They have provided me and my company with the kind of people we are interested in meeting."

He added: "With a new chairman in place as well, I am looking forward to playing an active role in what should be exciting times ahead."

IOD Kent chairman Frazer Thompson said: "We are very lucky to be able to call upon someone of Tim’s calibre and experience. His input will play a big part in the continued success of the Kent branch."
