Small Business Saturday roadshow to visit Margate on November 24

A light will be shone on entrepreneurs in Margate when a national roadshow visits the town later this month.

'The Tour' is part of the annual Small Business Saturday campaign to encourage consumers to shop local and support small businesses in their communities.

It will arrive in the Thanet seaside town on November 24. It will visit independent firms and representatives from the small business community.

Having set off from the UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow, a key focus to this year's event is sustainability and the role businesses can play in helping the UK hit its net zero goal by 2050.

To underline its green credentials, the roadshow will include a fleet of zero emission vehicles - including electric cars and vans, a scooter and a push bike.

Michelle Ovens, director of Small Business Saturday, said: "We are so excited to get back on the road and put the spotlight on fantastic small businesses in Margate and across the country, as well as opening up skills and networking opportunities to millions of entrepreneurs online.

“I would encourage all small businesses across Kent and the South East to get involved, whether it is in person or digitally.”
