Celebrating 25 years on the road as a performing artist, Janette Geri, Australia’s proclaimed 'Queen of Folk Music’, arrives for her first tour of the UK this month.

The 25 date tour sees Janette playing venues in Scotland, England and Wales, including the Granville Theatre in Ramsgate on Sunday October 12 from 8pm.

Having played Australia’s finest music venues, festivals and tv and radio shows, Janette is really looking forward to the 25 date UK tour.

She said: “This is something I’ve wanted to do since I first picked up my guitar. I’m delighted to be playing in Britain and I look forward to performing at the Granville Theatre which was suggested by Kiki Dee who raved about the venue after playing there.”

An acclaimed singer/songwriter in her own right, Janette’s new album, timed to coincide with the tour, sees her take on her favourite traditional and Celtic songs, which she has reworked with a contemporary edge.
