Body found in toilets at Littlestone

A man's body has been found in public toilets.

Police are still at the scene this afternoon searching for clues and the area is sealed off to the public.

Officers were called to the incident at Marine Parade, Littlestone, just before 9.40am today.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "The body of a middle aged to elderly man was removed from toilets.

"At present we are treating the death as unexplained but officers are still at the scene carrying out a forensic examination."

An ambulance had also been called out and the body was taken by undertakers to Ashford's Willliam Harvey Hospital mortuary.

The dead man's next of kin is still due to be informed and a post mortem examination is expected later.
