NOBODY was seriously injured when a car went out of control and crashed into a bus shelter.

It is thought the car left the road in Hever Croft, Strood, and careered down a grass bank, before smashing though the bus shelter on Cuxton Road.

Police were called to the scene. A 42-year-old woman was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital at Gillingham, suffering from back pain but, shortly afterwards, discharged herself. Her condition was not considered to be serious.
