England international Jason Barnes won the Kent Amateur Golf Championship at Mid Herts GC.
In Sunday's final Barnes, from Chart Hills GC, defeated the defending champion, Liam Burns, from Sundridge Park 3&2.
In the semi-finals Barnes overcame Charlie Wilson (Littlestone) by one hole and Burns knocked out another England international from Chart Hills, Tom Sherreard, by the same score.
Barnes and his fellow semi-finalists had qualified for the knockout stage by producing some of the leading scores in the 36-hole qualifying competition on Friday.
Barnes shot a new amateur course record of 64 in the morning which was then equalled by both Burns and Sherreard in the afternoon.
Burns had already shot 65 in the morning round and, with an aggregate total of 129 for the 36-hole qualifier, he won the Simpson Cup (best gross scorer by an under-25 year old) and the Scratch Cup.
And Burns' efforts also helped Sundridge Park to win the team event for the third year running.
In the Hetherington Salver, Adam Hedges (Sundridge Park) defeated Bob Crockett (Westgate & Birchington).
