Christmas mail stolen from postman's sack

CHRISTMAS cards were torn up and scattered in the road by youngsters who stole a bundle of mail from a postman’s sack. They took the mail from a bag on a bike that was parked at Margate Road, Ramsgate, while the postman was delivering letters and cards.

The postman followed two boys, who were on bikes, into Highfield Road but lost sight of them at Jacket Baker’s recreation ground. The mail was later found intact, except for the cards, in Highfield Road.
