Concern is growing for a missing man who left his Dover home more than three weeks ago.

Robert Carter, 47, disappeared from Castle Avenue in the town between 9am and noon on January 18 - but police have only just issued an appeal.

Police believe Mr Carter may have left home without his wallet and was possibly dressed in a dressing gown and slippers.

A spokesman said officers are increasingly concerned for his welfare, especially given the poor weather conditions.

When last seen he was wearing a dark coat, possibly a dressing gown, and slippers.

He is 5ft 8in with short dark hair, has a fair complexion and possibly a moustache.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 01304 218170.
